Station

This was the original home to the Utica Fire Department.
On April 20, 2004, a tornado destroyed our EMS building. The EMS staff and two ambulances moved into the fire station. Quarters were tight, but we made due until our new station was built.

The original Utica Community Ambulance Building. This building was built in 1980 and was destroyed in a Tornado, on April 20, 2004.

On April 20, 2004, an F3 tornado devastated Utica. The twister, one of the deadliest in recent Illinois history, claimed nine residents’ lives, and destroyed a quarter of Utica’s downtown area. A new station was planned and built. The new station was dedicated in 2006.
